At the Second Symposium of Laboratory Geneticists and Molecular Biologists in Bosnia and Herzegovina, held between 10th and 11th of May in Banja Luka, our team proudly stood out! Verlab Institute was represented by dr. Adna Ašić, MSc Adna Softić, and MSc Amra Džuho.
Dr. Adna Ašić delivered a presentation titled "Genetic Variants of the Human Genome Associated with Modulating the Course of COVID-19 Infection in Patients from B&H" at the Amphitheater of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Banja Luka.
Through the research, project leader, Dr. Adna Ašić, together with colleagues from the Alea Genetic Center - AGC and the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Sarajevo, has uncovered key information about risk factors for severe and critical COVID-19.
Our team has also presented a poster covering the research done by Verlab Sport, “Enhancing sports performances by insights from genetic testing of young athletes from Bosnia and Herzegovina”. On the 2nd day of Symposium this poster has won an award for the best poster of the Symposium.
