Verlab Institute at the Discussion on Developing the Startup Ecosystem in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Representatives of the Verlab Institute had the opportunity yesterday to attend an inspiring discussion with Michiel Sheffer, Chair of the European Innovation Council (EIC) Board, organized by UNDP and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The discussion focused on what is needed to make the startup ecosystem thrive in Bosnia and Herzegovina, highlighting key steps such as the establishment of R&D departments at universities and the promotion of success stories among students to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship.

In line with these goals, the Verlab Institute actively contributes to the development of the innovation ecosystem through:

  • supporting startups and researchers in the preparation of project proposals,
  • providing access to its experimental HPC research infrastructure as a test bed for MVP validation,
  • partnering in the R&D component of projects, and
  • facilitating matchmaking and networking within the local and European innovation ecosystem.

Through these activities, Verlab Institute continues to build the foundation for a stronger, more sustainable, and connected innovation ecosystem in Bosnia and Herzegovina, one that fosters collaboration, technological advancement, and long-term innovation growth.
