Recent projects

ERASMUS VETechConn

The VETechConn initiative enhances the digital skills of vocational education and training instructors in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro through targeted training programs and a dedicated digital platform. By combining regional expertise with EU support, the project aims to align VET practices with the demands of digital transformation.

ERASMUS ParaSwInclusion

The ParaSwInclusion project promotes the inclusion of people with disabilities through paraswimming by combining competition, education, and a digital platform. It strengthens skills of athletes and professionals while improving access to resources, contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable sports environment across the region.

eDIH Fusion X Hub

FusionX DIH is the central hub for digital and green transformation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, dedicated to empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), researchers, public institutions, and citizens. Through a holistic and innovative approach, we focus on key pillars of the Digital Europe programme: high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced digital skills.

The National Competence Centre for High-Performance Computing in Bosnia and Herzegovina (NCC BiH) was established within the EuroCC2/EuroCC4SEE initiative to strengthen HPC capacities and adoption. It supports SMEs, academia, and public institutions through training, technical guidance, and strategic initiatives, enabling effective use of advanced computing technologies. Coordinated by Verlab Institute and Verlab Ltd., the centre fosters collaboration with European partners to provide access to cutting-edge HPC resources and expertise.

The LySim project focuses on advanced biomedical research of lysozyme, a key enzyme in the human immune response, using molecular modeling and simulation techniques. It analyzes structural differences and interactions of lysozyme from various sources to support the development of more effective pharmaceutical formulations. Implemented in collaboration with Bosnalijek and supported through international R&D funding programs, the project contributes to innovation in biomedical and pharmaceutical applications.

Medical Device Management Guide

Health-care technology has played a fundamental role in medicine for centuries, evolving to improve diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring. As highlighted in the WHO guide "Inventory and maintenance management information system for medical devices", medical devices are essential to health-care delivery, supporting diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and rehabilitation, with their proper management being critical to patient outcomes.
