EIT Health Summit 2024

Director of the Verlab Institute dr. Lejla Gurbeta Pokvić has been part of the prestigious EIT Health Summit held in Rotterdam from 18th to 19th of April. 

Dr. Lejla was a only representative from Bosnia and Herzegovina. The theme of the Summit was „Take action to drive change“, highlighting the crucial role of  technology in shaping the future of healthcare. Emphasized was also integration of innovation into the healthcare sector, which is a key to drive the necessary changes, and involving all stakeholders, from  patients, suppliers, and physicians to decision-makers. 

EIT Health is coordinator of the Large-scale Skills Partnership for the healthcare sector, which is 19th  Large Scale Partnership within the Pact for Skills, and third in the healthcare ecosystem of the EU´s  industrial strategy. Verlab Institute is a proud member of this pact since March 2024, and this step  placed the Institute and Bosnia and Herzegovina closer to all innovations around the world. The consortium held hybrid meeting during the Summit, and Verlab Institute was introduced as a new  member of the pact, confirming commitment of the Institute to actively participate in initiatives shaping  the future of healthcare.  

Only by working together with different partners around the world we can achieve true transformation  and improve the quality of healthcare and preventive actions.
