Over the past two days, an educational workshop on the topic of ‘Emerging Technologies and Implementation of Industry 4.0’ was held at the premises of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina, organized by the Robotics Society in BiH in collaboration with the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH. This workshop brought together experts and interested participants from various sectors to familiarize themselves with the concept of Industry 4.0 and its application in different industries.
The workshop featured presentations on various studies that explored the significance and application of Industry 4.0 in sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, energy, information technology, and others. These examples provided participants with insights into how foundational technologies such as IoT, AI, machine learning, and automation are being used to improve business processes and achieve greater efficiency.
In today’s session, our expert collaborator, Adna Softić, delivered a presentation titled ‘Advanced Technologies of Industry 4.0 in Healthcare: Examples of Application for Improving Healthcare Quality and Operational Efficiency.’ This presentation focused on the application of Industry 4.0 in the healthcare sector and highlighted some of the key technologies that can enhance the quality of healthcare and operations in this field.
Some examples of applying advanced Industry 4.0 technologies in healthcare include using IoT sensors for monitoring patients’ vital signs, utilizing robotic systems for surgeries and treatments, employing artificial intelligence in disease diagnosis and prediction, as well as using smart systems for managing and tracking medical inventory.
