The 6th International Scientific and Business Conference CMBEBIH 2025 was held in Sarajevo from September 11–13, 2025, under the motto “From Science to Business”. The conference gathered more than 300 participants from over 40 countries, including leading scientists, medical doctors, innovators, industry representatives, and public sector officials.
Over three days of a rich program, the conference featured scientific sessions, panel discussions, business meetings, a hackathon, and the promotion of new publications, once again confirming CMBEBIH as the leading platform for knowledge exchange and for connecting different stakeholders in the field of biomedical engineering.
Program Highlights
- NextGov 2025: a segment dedicated to the digital transformation of public administration and modern technologies, which brought together institutional representatives and decision-makers.
- OncoHackathon 2025: the first regional hackathon dedicated to artificial intelligence in oncology, where young researchers, students, and startup teams developed innovative solutions for the healthcare sector.
As a co-organizer of the conference, the Verlab Institute presented activities within the EUROCC4SEE project, which connects Bosnia and Herzegovina to the European HPC ecosystem. Company representatives had the opportunity to participate in trainings on digital and green transformation, as well as the application of AI and HPC technologies. Public sector representatives were introduced to the importance of the EuroHPC initiative and the resources provided through the EUROCC4SEE project.
