Verlab Institute joins the ABCD project: Empowering deep tech entrepreneurship in the Western Balkans

Verlab Institute is a partner in the project called ‘The Alliance of Boundary Crossing for Deep Tech,’ which has been selected for funding by the EIT (European Institute of Innovation and Technology) in two phases, from May 2023 to July 2024. The kick-off meeting for this project took place on May 26, 2023, at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Sarajevo, with Mugdim Pašić representing the same, Maja Arslanagić-Kalajdžić and Aziz Šunje representing the Faculty of Economics, University of Sarajevo, and Almir Badnjević and Lejla Gurbeta Pokvić representing Verlab Institute.

The ABCD project aims to become the leading platform for innovation and deep tech entrepreneurship in the Western Balkans. It will foster an entrepreneurial mindset and support deep technology startups to advance at a global level through efficient collaboration with participants and the local innovation ecosystem. By 2030, the project aims to strengthen project management, promote capacity building, provide incubation services, establish strong connections with the local innovation ecosystem, and effectively disseminate the results.
