This year, the Croatian Society for Orthopedic Engineering ORTHOING is organizing a scientific-professional congress, the 1st European Congress for Biomedical and Veterinary Engineering – BIOMEDVETMECH, which will be held on October 20, 21 and 22, 2022, in Zagreb at the Westin Hotel. The theme of the congress is “Biomedical Engineering in the Service of Man and Animals”. The congress is multidisciplinary, international and covers a wide range of scientific and professional topics in biomedical and veterinary engineering. The congress website is www.biomedvetmech.com.
BioMedVetMech is a combination of biology + medicine + veterinary medicine + mechanics, in other words the Congress brings together scientists, doctors, veterinarians, engineers and other experts in order to develop innovations and expand the latest knowledge for the benefit of humans and animals.
The main sessions for presenting scientific papers and projects are: surgical engineering, diagnostic engineering, disease prevention engineering, pharmaceutical engineering, orthopedic engineering, tissue engineering, cell engineering, biomaterials, nanoengineering, prosthetics and orthotics, medical engineering, medical / veterinary robotics, neuroengineering, patient care engineering and veterinary engineering. You can find out all the details about the lecturers and topics of the Congress on the official WEB page of the Congress.
The complete papers will be published in the Proceedings of BIOMEDVETMECH in the IFMBE Proceedings Series. Authors of the best papers will be invited to publish an extended version of the paper in the journal Health and Technology – Springer or Medical & Biological Engineering & Computing – Springer. Complete papers will be submitted through the International Organization for Biomedical Engineering system from 15 June 2022 to 1 .9. 2022 (abstracts can be sent in that period, too). Cash prizes and plaques are provided for the best works of young scientists, and in addition to the above, young scientists will be able to attend a series of free workshops organized by the Congress. In addition to the transfer of knowledge, special emphasis at the Congress is on connecting industry and science with the aim of making new acquaintances, collaborations and potential collaborations and projects.
