On November 5–6, 2025, Verlab Institute hosted an engaging workshop at the Sarajevo Unlimited Conference at Hotel Hills Sarajevo, focusing on the transformative potential virtual reality (VR) holds in education and medicine. The workshop was conducted in collaboration with M2D that led the sessions on medical image segmentation, 3D scanning, and 3D printing.
Participants had the opportunity to learn about the basics of VR work with VR headsets, explore medical structures in a virtual environment, interact with 3D models and engage in hands-on medical simulations, gaining practical experience. A VR competition was held, allowing participants to showcase their newly acquired skills, with the winners receiving a one-year membership to the Society for Medical and Biological Engineering in Bosnia and Herzegovina (DMBIUBIH).
Participant feedback highlights their interest in learning more about VR and a unique perspective on immersive learning in the biomedical field.
