Verlab Institute represented at the “EU Programmes Info Day” in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Dr. Adna Ašić was invited by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina to speak at the “EU Programmes Info Day” held at the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Dr. Ašić shared her positive experience in applying for and implementing several EU-funded projects under Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, Digital Europe, and particularly the COST framework, where she currently serves as the COST Action Chair for CA24165 CardioPharmaGENET.

In her remarks, Dr. Ašić reflected on her journey over the past year and a half at Verlab Institute, from establishing partnerships across Europe, to developing international collaborations, and leading projects that contribute to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s growing participation in EU programmes. She emphasized the importance of continuous networking, knowledge exchange, and building institutional capacity to ensure the country’s sustainable engagement in European initiatives.

The “EU Programmes Info Day” was organized by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina to present the wide range of opportunities available through Bosnia and Herzegovina’s participation in EU programmes such as EU4Health, Horizon Europe, Creative Europe, Erasmus+, COST, and EaSI.

The event gathered more than 600 representatives from public institutions, academia, cultural and health organizations, civil society, the private sector, and international partners. Through two expert panels, participants discussed how to design and prepare successful project proposals, avoid common mistakes, and strengthen Bosnia and Herzegovina’s performance in EU-funded projects.

The participation of Verlab Institute in this important national event confirms our active role in advancing Bosnia and Herzegovina’s integration into the European Research and Innovation Area and in promoting excellence through EU cooperation programmes.
