Women4Sport Round Table

The Verlab Institute organized a Round Table within the framework of the Erasmus+ project Women4Sport, which generally promotes gender equality in management and decision-making at the highest levels of National Olympic Committees in the Western Balkans, promoting structural changes in governance, improving understanding of existing cultural barriers, and encouraging national Olympic committees to collaborate with their federations to create sustainable changes.

The Round Table focused on “Women’s Inclusion in Management and Decision-Making in Sports Organizations.” Sports organizations play a crucial role in shaping sports culture and promoting equality in sports. However, in many of these organizations, women are underrepresented in leadership and decision-making positions. The aim of this Round Table was to examine the challenges women face in reaching high positions in sports organizations and to discuss ways to increase their participation.

Project partners included Verlab Institute, the Olympic Committees of Albania, Montenegro, Croatia, and Slovenia, along with the non-governmental organization BRAVO BiH. The project coordinator was the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
