Verlab Academy is a training initiative developed to support the academic, business, non-governmental and governmental sectors with the aim of understanding the requirements imposed by the digital and green transformation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The scientific research institute Verlab for biomedical engineering, medical devices and artificial intelligence (Verlab Institute) with its activities aims to contribute to increasing the competitiveness and excellence of companies, organizations, researchers and experts in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and as such recognizes and promotes science, research and practice, opening the way for the necessary transition to a knowledge-based economy.
The seminar “Education of medical and non-medical personnel in the field of knowledge, use and management of medical technology in healthcare institutions” will be held on December 19, 2022 in Sarajevo.
The purpose of this seminar is to ensure that participants become familiar with medical technology, and its use and management in healthcare institutions. The training program is aligned with the program of the independent American ECRI organization, which is recognized as a global leader in the field of patient and medical device safety. The seminar contains four modules:
- MODULE 1 – Evidence-based management of medical devices – clinical engineering practices.
- MODULE 2 – Training for working on medical devices (diagnostic and therapeutic).
- MODULE 3 – Evidence-based management of laboratory devices – clinical engineering practices.
- MODULE 4 – International safety and quality standards, legal norms in the management of medical devices.
Participation in this seminar is a form of professional training for personnel who use medical devices and medical technologies on a daily basis.
